About Marine Solutions

Founded by enterprising college students, Keegan Buffington and Rob Woodworth, Marine Solutions sought to fill a void in the lake community: quality service that all boat enthusiasts can afford. Having grown up on Lake Minnetonka, Keegan and Rob have both developed a passion for boating. Their love and knowledge of the lake continued to grow as they both worked at a marina in Excelsior, MN during their summers. It is here that the framework for Marine Solutions developed.

Marine Solutions was started in the spring of 2009, after Keegan and Rob collaborated ideas. Their work at the marina had given them insight into what the lake community was in need of – boat care that anyone could afford. They believed that a clean and tidy boat was a universal need for lake enthusiasts everywhere, and that customers shouldn’t have to sacrifice quality for price. So they strived to create a business that provided a quality product at an affordable price. Every time.

Rob is currently a sophomore at the University of Colorado, studying Business Management. He spends his summers at his home in Wayzata MN, and when he’s not working he loves wakeboarding, cruising around the lake, and traveling.

Keegan Buffington is a sophmore at the University of Minnesota. He has over 13 years of experience working on the lake. He started helping out around the Wayzata Yact Club at seven years old and still works there today. This will also be Keegan's second summer as a Tonka Bay Marina crew member.
